The workshop will be held in the elegant and beautiful Fairmont Chateau Whistler Hotel.

This hotel is cast in the mould of the stately and grand mountain architecture pioneered by Canadian Pacific
hotels in the Canadian Rockies at Banff and Lake Louise - an attempt to reflect the grandeur of the landscapes
outside the hotel while retaining European elegance in the interior.

The town of Whistler, situated in the Coast Range Mountains of British Columbia, is 121 km from downtown Vancouver, approx 1 hr 35 min drive in good conditions.

The town of Whistler is famous for the natural beauty of its setting, and the wide variety of outdoor
pursuits that may be pursued in its environs. Notably, Whistler hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Usually ski season opens November 22, but if there is an early snowfall Whistler and Blackcomb may open earlier.

In the absence of snow in the mountains there is still plenty to do. Hiking and biking on the mountain and in the valley, and four golf courses to choose from - along with other sports.
